Anna Crane
Anna Crane
Clinical Director of Childrens Services
Anna has worked at Gem State Developmental Center since 2008. She earned her degree as a Licensed Social Worker from Augusta College in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. She began her career at GSDC as a Developmental Specialist and was promoted to Clinical Supervisor of Children and Family Services in 2011.

Anna’s previous experience included working with a variety of individuals including: adults with disabilities in a residential setting, women and children affected by domestic violence, children and teens within the foster care system, families with babies in the NICU and runaway teens. She was born and raised in the Boise area and has a great passion for her community and those within it.

Victoria Pyle

Developmental Specialist/Habilitative Interventionist
Victoria joined the Gem State team on December 19th, 2016. Victoria is a certified teacher. She attended Boise State University for her Undergraduate, and completed her Bachelor’s in Elementary Education through the University of Phoenix.Before joining Gem State, Victoria worked with individuals with disabilities between the ages of 5-85 years old in a variety of settings.Such positions include: Job Coach, Residential Coach, Para-professional, CBRS (Community Based Rehabilitation Services), and as a Teacher. All positions have been based on helping individuals by becoming as independent as possible in their work, community, education, and home life.

Victoria is a native to Idaho. She has a strong passion for working with children and believes that all people have the potential of becoming active members of society. She says, “ It takes special people to work with special people.”

Michael Walker
Michael Walker
Developmental Specialist/Habilitative Interventionist
Michael has worked at Gem State Developmental Center since May of 2017. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Farmingdale State College in New York and Master of Education in Special Education from Boise State University. Michael previously worked in an Intermediate Care Facility for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. Michael also enjoyed his time as a counselor for the Idaho Commission of the Blind and Visually Impaired and working with children with developmental disabilities for the last several years.

Michael enjoys working as a Developmental Specialist/Habilitative Interventionist in a collaborative team environment and having the opportunity to utilize evidence-based practices to foster the social and emotional development of children with special needs. Michael is thrilled to be a part of the Gem State Team! In his free time, Michael loves to spend time with his family and friends, reading about psychology and watching a good hockey game!
